Help your students develop academic skills

21 February 2024

The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CeLT) in LTL has a team of experienced and dedicated Learning Advisors who can help all your students consolidate and enhance their academic skills needs.

The Learning Advisors offer a wide variety of introductory and advanced workshops on study skills, time management, addressing assessment tasks effectively, academic writing, research design, data analysis and management, to name but a few.

What would we like you to do?

Please make your students aware of the available support. Especially mention the array of workshops that have been designed for the benefit of all students. Access details about available workshops and events. Scheduled workshops appear in the Calendar and Upcoming Events section on the home page of Te Kete Wānaka.

Reach out to the Learning Advisors to discuss how they might support you to develop the academic skills of your students. They can tailor existing workshops or resources to your course or design new workshops and/or resources to suit your students and your course assessment. Workshops can be held during class time or as optional extras for your students.

Finally, please make students aware that there are Academic Skills Drop-in (L003) and Careers Pop-in (L022) sessions available each week. Days and times are shown in the Calendar.

Please contact Caitriona Cameron (Caitriona.Cameron@lincoln.ac.nz) to discuss how Learning Advisors can assist you in supporting your students to develop the academic skills they need for success in your course.
