Copyright, course readings and Leganto
29 June 2022
Do you have any course readings to upload to your Akoraka | Learn course page for Semester 2?
ALL course readings on Akoraka | Learn or printed in a course handbook need to be uploaded via our copyright management system (Leganto), to avoid the university and/or staff being sued for breach of copyright.
Leganto is easy to use and in addition to managing copyright, it has advantages for:
- linking to an article/eBook that the library subscribes to: Using Leganto makes sure the link will work for students studying from home as well as on-campus
- linking to web resources: Leganto has a browser bookmark to make this easy
- short loan requests: These can be actioned through Leganto instead of filling out a separate form
After you create a course reading list, you can add a link for each resource or you can add a link for each Module/Topic reading list.
You can access help with Leganto on Te Kete Wānaka or by contacting Teaching Quality (Teaching.Quality@lincoln.ac.nz).
